VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 3, 1924
A regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday Nov 3, 1924
Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius and L.L. Bishop, Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne

Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M.
Mr. L.G. Nelson Supt. Of the E.R. Power and Light Co presented a contract to furnish electricity at
the pump house for the council to consider as the form of contract was quite lengthly and extending
to a term of 5 years it was deemed advisable to refer it to the Co. Atty. for advice before signing.
A petition was presented to the Council signed by 16 ladies living near the Twin City Creamery
Building asking the Council to enforce Ordinance No. 19 relative to the prohibiting of deuse smoke
issuing from the chimney of their plant.
The clerk was instructed to correspond with H.R. Leonard Supt. Of the Co. stating the situation and
also to enclose a copy of Ordinance No. 19.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed and ordered drawn for their accts.
