VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 7, 1925
Regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday, Sept 7, 1925
Present – Roland K Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk
Meeting called to order by the Pres at 8 o’clock P.M.
The financial report of the Library Ass’n was presented by the Secy. Mary E. Guptil, showing a bal.
on hand of 24/77 report read accepted and place on fire.
The term of three of the directors of the Library Ass’n having expired. The Pres. appointed the
following Ladies to fill vacancy.
Mrs. S.R. Houlton, Mrs. Peter Jack, and Mrs. T.M. Olsen.
On motion duly made seconded and declared carried it was resolved: that the sum of two hundred
(200.00) dollars be donated the Sherburne Co Fair Ass’n for the year 1925. The clerk was instructed
to draw an order on the Treas. for the above amount. In the matter of purchasing a new siren for
the Fire Depmt it was decided to send the old siren to the city and have it examined and find out the
cost of having it repaired.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed. Clerk instructed to draw orders for their
accts.
