VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 6, 1926
Regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday Sept 6, 1926
Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, EE Scott, Trustees, W.F.
Chadbourne, Clerk
Visitors – W.H. Clements and L.A. Herrick
Meeting called to order by the Pres. at 8 o’clock P.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed. Clerk instructed to draw warrants for
same

On motion, duly made, seconded and declared carried the following Resolution was unanimously
adopted
Resolved: That the sum of 300.00 be donated from the General Fund to the Sherburne Co Fair
Assn for Aid to Fair to be held Sept 1926
Clerk authorized to draw warrant for same
W.H. Clements Street Co was instructed to repair sidewalks at the school house and also to grade
Thomas St between Main and Depot St west of School house.
Some discussion was had relative to the parking of autos on the streets of Elk River.
Ordinance No. 13 was read which forbids double parking. Parking on corners. Leaving Engine
running. Parking on Pavement etc.
It was decided to call the attention of the Public Through the Star News to these items and thus
avoid accidents.
