VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL

The regular meeting of the Village Council was held on Monday October 3, 1927.
Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk
Meeting called to order by the President at 8 o’clock P.M.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed.
E.R. Lumber Co material used at fire barn 5.37
E.R. Fire Dept attending fire at Hendersons 15.00
Caley Hardware Co material at water tank and street 101.03
W.H. Clements street work 30.50
Fred Ayers labor at water works 11.25
Star News printing ordinance No. 21 3.60
Standard Oil Co gas fire engine 10.00
E.R. Power and Light Co repairs 13.30
Dare Furniture Co paint at fire barn 7.05
The following resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote:
Resolved that the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars be donated to the Sherburne Co. Fair
Association for the year 1927.
The following budget was presented to the Council by the Village Clerk as necessary to finance the
Village for the year 1928.
For Revenue 8000.00
For Special 4000.00 Bond
For R and Bridge 1500.00
Poor Fund 400.00
Library 400.00
Music 400.00
Total 14,700.00
On motion the above budget was adopted by a unanimous vote. Clerk instructed to notify Co.
Auditor to that effect.
No further business appearing, meeting adjourned.
