VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
DECEMBER 5, 1927
The regular meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday, December 5,
1927.
Present – Roland K. Wilson, Pres, L.L. Bishop, EE Scott, Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk
Visitors – Mrs. Jesse Parsons, Mrs. Geo Tyler and Mrs. S.R. Houlton representing the Elk River
Library Association.
Meeting called to order by the President at 8 o’clock P.M.
The above named ladies came before the Council asking for aid in purchasing new books for the
library. After some discussion the following Resolution was offered and adopted by a unanimous
vote.
Resolved that the sum of One Hundred dollars ($100.00) be donated from the library fund to assist
in purchasing books for the Library. Clerk instructed to draw a warrant for same.
In regard to removing snow from the streets so as to allow the hydrants to be clear in case of fire, it
was stated that the Commercial Club intended to purchase a snowplow for that purpose and would
like to have the council co-operate with them in regard to it.
The following Resolution was unanimously adopted:
Resolved that the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) be taken from the Road and Bridge fund for
that purpose. Clerk instructed to draw warrant for same.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed.

No further business appearing, meeting adjourned.
