VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER MEETING CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 10, 1928
A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the Library Room on Monday, September 10,
1928.
Present – Thomas E. Beck, President, Geo Cornelius, L.L. Bishop, E.E. Scott, Trustees. W.F.
Chadbourne, Clerk
Meeting called to order by the President at 8 o’clock P.M.
This meeting was called for the purpose of perfecting the application for loan from the State Board
of Investment in the amount of 7500.00 for the purpose of erecting a village hall.
The following notice was duly posted in three or more public places in each precinct of said

municipality on the 13 day of August 1928 which was at least ten days before the election held
thereunder and was duly published in one of the legal newspapers of said municipality designed by
me.
