ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
August 22, 1962
The Clerk of Elk River called a special meeting of the Town Board to meet with a group
representing the Big Lake, Monticello, Upper Town district. From the group the following were
present: A.R. Christianson, Hugh Mitchell, Oliver Knudson, Geo Phillips, Meredith Olson. All of
the Elk River Board were present. The district consists of 4 townships and 2 villages. The group
gave much valuable information. The board then sent on record as being in favor of the Big Lake
and Monticello Hospital Dist. The motion was carried unanimously. Motion made by E. Specht and
seconded by Earl Schulke and carried by all.
Meeting adjourned.
