ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
March 12, 1963
The town board of Elk River Township met at the Court House to conduct the annual township
meeting. As the business meeting was set last year at 1 o’clock. The following persons voted. The
terms of E.L. Specht, L.R. Molderhauer and A.L. Powell were up.

7. Rathbun, Everett
8. Hinkle, Dick
At one o’clock the business meeting was called. The Clerk read the minutes of the last years meeting.
Next the Treasurer read his report. The Clerk reported that the expenses for the past year nearly was
equal to the amount raised. Earl Schulke moved that $7,500.00 be raised for Road & Brdg. Seconded
by Erwin Specht. Motion carried. It was moved by Mel Peterson that $3,000.00 be raised for
Revenue Fund seconded by Oscar Engstrom. It was moved by E.L. Specht seconded by Earl
Schulke that no mill be levied for Poor Fund. It was moved and seconded that the gopher bounty be
paid the same as last year.
The time of the next annual meeting will be from 10 o’clock to 4 p.m. with business meeting held in
the same place at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. There was a motion by Erwin Specht that the treas.
Salary be at $300.00 per year. The salary be set at 2% or not to exceed the three hundred limit.
Motion carried.
The business part of the meeting was adjourned.
