ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
September 25, 1964
The town board met at the court house at 8 o’clock to open bids on 1000 yards gravel. Bids were
submitted by Archie Johnson Construction, Also Big Lake Gravel Company. The bids were as
follows: Archie Johnson 1.55 per yard +10.00 per hour for patrol. Big Lake Gravel is 1.55 per yard
placed. The low bid was by Big Lake Gravel. A motion was made by Everett Specht seconded by M.
Peterson and carried that the bid by Big Lake Gravel be accepted. Mr. Menkueld met with the board
in regard to getting a permit for a trailer court. After some discussion the matter was tabled for the
present.
