10-30-1907 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 30, 1907 Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Elk River in the County of Sherburne and State of Minnesota including all accounts audited by said Council. Common council met at the store of R.E. Dare October 30, 1907 at 3:00 p.m. Present: R.E. Dare, President, W.P. Rhoda and S.M. Crockett trustee and W.F. Ghadboune, recorder. Meeting called to order by President. On motion a tax of five hundred dollars was voted for general purposes for the coming year the Rec. was instructed to notify auditors of same and include notie of sidewalk ta on lots 10-11-blk.3. H. Houltins add. owned by Mrs. P.P. Scott auit $33.30 Street Lighting – Mr. S.S. Trask was appointed Marshall and also to attend lighting lamps at a salary of $65.00 per month. The recorder was instructed to purchase 10 more streetlamps similar to those purchased by Justus de Booy. The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: H.C. Hastings – city weighing – order no. 1598 - $36.00 The Patterson Sr. Lighting Co. – 6 lamps – order no. 1599 - $86.50 Elk River lumber Co. – order no. 1600 - $62.57 N, J, Iliff – Marshall – order no. 1601 - $6.64 W. P. Rhoda – freight – order no. 1602 - $2.42 Heetner Mer. Co. – goods for Vill – order no. 1603 - $1.48 S. M. Crockett – wood for scal house – order no. 1604 - $2.25 S. S. Trask – Marshall – order no. 1605 - $4.98 R.E. Dare – cash fund for labor in park – order no. 1606 - $4.60 Mr. H.C.
