VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
May 6, 1908
The Common Council met at the store of R.E. Dare on Wednesday evening May 6, 1908 at 8
o’clock P.M.
Present:
R.E. Dare, President, Justus deBooy, S. M. Crockettt and W. P. Rhoda, trustees and W.F.
Ghadboune, recorder.
Meeting called to order by President at 8:30 P.M.
Mr. E.L. Ward asked for a permit to build a screened porch or platform in rear of his front store.
Said porch to by 14 x 16’ x 8 No windows on East and West side. ? Roof to be covered with
fireproof roofing and all woodwork outside to be covered with iron.
DeBooy, Babcock and Salter asked for a satisfaction of specification for Brick Block build by there
last November 1907 which was granted.
R.E. Dare was instructed to purchase a lawn mower for Village.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed:
W. P. Rhoda – Freight on gasoline $0.68
R.D. Roach – Plowing snow $2.00
S.S. Trask – Marshall Fire & lighting lamps March $52.00
No further business offering adjourned.
