Notice to Village Council of Elk River Minn
R.E. Dare President
I hereby notify you to remove or have removed the hogs and hog ? belonging to M.C. Blaushette
which is located about 100 feet from my house. They are a nuisance and a menace to our health, a
damage to our property as we cannot sell or rent our property since no one will live so near a hog
farm. We at all times were greatly inconvenienced through the hogs, we had to close our windows
and doors in the evenings and at night as we could not stand the smell. I serve this notice to have
that nuisance removed within the time specified by law. If it is not removed then I will bring forth a
lawsuit against the Village Council of Elk River, Minn.
Mrs. M. Pircheur
Geo. E. Parsons MD testified to receiving a similar notice on the above and that he visited the
premises mentioned above and gave it as his observance that the above mentioned hog farm was
not a nuisance at this time of year.
A motion was made and carried that the council did not consider that this particular hog farm, at the
present time, was a public nuisance.
