VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
DECEMBER 7, 1908
The Common Council met at the store of R.E. Dare on Monday December 7, 1908.
Present:
R.E. Dare, President, W.P. Rhode, S.M. Crockett, trustees, W.F. Ghadboune, recorder.
Meeting called to order by President at 7:30 p.m.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The following Resolution was presented by recorder Ghadboune.
Resolved: that the following s??? of money be levied and assessed when the taxable property is the
Village of Elk River for the following purpose for the current year. For general corporation
purchases $500.00 for delinquent sidewalk tax to work or???.
J.L.A. Nickerson Blk 1 Lots 1-2 Village of Elk River - $29.63
Geo. R. Biddick Blk 1 Lots 7-8 Houlton addition - $29.63
H.G. Keays Blk 3 Lots 1-2 Audition Add. - $27.39
On motion the above resolution was carried unanimously.
The following bills were presented and on motion allowed –
S.S. Trask – Marshall fee and lighting lamps November - $54.00
The Van Tilburg Co. – gasoline - $19.84
Hubner Mercantile Co. – goods for Village - $4.51
W.P. Rhoda – freight on gasoline - $.67
E.R. Lumber Co. – lumber for street work - $15.04
W.H. Thorpe – repairing service - $.75
L. Pollard – repairing work - $.25
Geo. E. Parsons – medical attendance on stranger - $2.00
F.W. Nickerson – surveying street balance due - $3.00
J. H. Romder?? & Co. – good for village - $16.35
