VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
FEBRUARY 27, 1909
The Common Council met at the office of O.J. Whiteman, on Saturday evening February 27, 2909
Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, B. Carr trustees, O.J. Whiteman, recorder.
Meeting called to order by President at 8:30 p.m.
Minutes were read from last meeting and approved.
Bids for funding the following plank and timbers for upper town bridge was advertised for was
opened – 270 pieces – 4 ½ - 16, at $26 ? ?
15 pieces – 4 x 12 – 20, at $27 ? ?
The Rudd Lumber Co. being lowest bidder on motion made by Carr seconded by Whiteman was
awarded to them.
The following bills were audited and allowed:
A ? Dan ????? ordinances No. 54 & 55 - $8 ???
A ? Dan ????? Bids for plank ????? - $1.00
Smith ??? – work on street - $4.50
No further business adjourned carried.
