VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
MARCH 30, 1909
The Common Council met at the office of O.J. Whiteman, on Tuesday, March 30, 1909
Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, B. Carr, Polalard, trustees, O.J. Whiteman,
recorder.
Meeting called to order by President at 8:30 p.m.
Minutes were read from last meeting and approved.
A resolution was presented by
to repeal ordinance no for licensing drags on motioned by Virgin, seconded by Carr was
carried.
On motuion made by Virgin seconded by Carr to refund the Five dollars to John Hardet, he had
paid for drag license for 1909, was carried.
The following bills were audited and allowed:
Frank Fredericks, work on street - $3.50
The Patterson Street Lighting Co. – globes - $27.00
Hubner ? Co. – glass for streetlights - $6.15
Bert Carr – team work on snowplow - $13.25
W.F. Chadboune – for judges for Village election - $8.00
W.R. Rhoda – freight on globes and gasoline - $1.47
Lea Slabach – work on street - $3.38
John Blocker – team work on street - $6.00
