VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
AUGUST 21, 1909
The Common Council met at Virgin’s office.
Members present: F.L. Salter, president, J. Virgin B. Carr, L. Pollard, trustees.
Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
On motion by Pollard and seconded by Carr the following bills were allowed:
Thos. Gilfoy – work on scales - $6.00
Henry Demars – work on scales - $6.00
Lee Slaboack – work on scales - $15.75
R.D. Roath – work on streets & scales - $66.80
Andrew Olson – work on scale house - $15.75
R.D. Trombley – 6 mantles - $1.20
Frank Ingersoll – work on scale house - $2.10
W. Dyinick – 7 days work on road - $17.50
F. Stimson – 4 days work with team - $16.00
Ed Holt – 1 day work on scale - $2.00
H. Nickerson – 3 days work with team - $12.00
E.N. Daly & co. – scraper, nails, & labor - $7.45
Prosper Vassar – hauling sand for fountain at Chad???? - $1.75
The Sherburne County Star News – 15 ????cards - $2.25

Motion was made by Pollard and seconded by Carr to sell the old scale house to J.G. Gray for
$12.00. Motion carried.
