VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 8, 1909
The Common Council met at the office O.J. Whitman.
Members present: F.L. Salter, president, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman, recorder.
Meeting called to order by the President at 5:40 p.m.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
The following bills were read and on a motion were allowed.
John Bither – for services as Marshal for September - $50.00
Harold Keays – for lighting streetlamps for September - $25.00
Standard Oil Co. – 95 gallons gasoline - $12.64
The Howe Scale Co. of Illinois – 12 Howe Weigh books - $6.00
Hubney Mercantile Co. – zinc, joint pipes etc. - $1.98
Fred Stimson – work with team 9 ¼ days - $29.00
S.M. Crockett – work with team 4 days - $16.00
Harry Nickerson – work with team 1 day - $4.00
A. Lowe – working on street etc. 14 ¼ days - $28.50
B. Geo. Lowe – work on street etc. 13 ¼ days - $26.50
C. Al Stimson – work on street etc. 11 ¼ days - $22.50
