VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 29, 1909
The Common Council met at the office O.J. Whitman.
Members present: F.L. Salter, president, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman, recorder.
Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
The following resolution was presented by J. Virgin Trustee. Resolved: that the sum of $2,000.00 be
levied and assessed upon the taxable property in the Village of Elk River for the current year for
general corporation purposes.
On motion the above resolution was carried unanimously.
On motion the following bills were audited and allowed:
Elk River Lumber Co. – lumber tileing and cement - $57.23
E.N. Daly & Co. – fence, gate, pipe, etc. - $69.56
W.M. Dimick – 8 days work on street - $20.00
A. Lowe – 2 ½ days work on street – $5.00
S.M. Crockett – 8 ½ days work with team - $34.00
Geo. Lowe – 7 ½ days work on the street - $15.00
Lee Slaback – 3 days work on street - $6.00
Standard Oil Co. – 35 gallons gasoline - $4.69
Lee Casey – 4 days work with team - $16.00
Grover Mul?? – 3 days work on street - $6.00
John Bither – for services as Village Marshal for October - $50.00
Harold Keays – lighting street lamps for October - $25.00
Total - $302.46
