VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
MARCH 12, 1910
The Common Council met at Whitman’s office.
Members present: F.L. Salter, President, B. Carr, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman,
recorder.
Meeting called to order by the President at 8:15 p.m.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Motion was made by Pollard, seconded by Virgin that the Council approve the transferring of liquor
license of M.C. Blanchett to Andrew C. Morgan subject to the approval of his bond. Was carried.
Motion by Pollard, seconded by Carr to remove Oliver Mansur’s name from the list of the saloon,
was carried.
Motion by Virgin, seconded by Pollard that G.A. Nickerson’s bill of $10.00 for 100 loads of gravel
be laid on table was carried.
On motion the following bills were audited and allowed:
2075 – A.N. Dare – printing application liquor license ordinance - $9.80
2076 – A.N. Dare – printing application transfer liquor license - $3.30
2077 - J.E. Hamlet – dragging - $2.40
2079 – M.C. Blanchette – lodging for transients - $1.25
2078 – Geo. Martineau – work on street - $2.00
2080 – Chas. E. Swanson – tax on ditch no.10 - $17.83
Total - $34.58
No further business adjourned carried.
