04-20-1910 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 20, 1910 The Common Council met at Bank of Elk River. Members present: F.L. Salter, President, B. Carr, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman, recorder. Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. On motion the following bills were audited and allowed: 2081 - F.L. Salter – money advanced for Richard Davis - $3.86 2082 – W.H. Thorpe? – care of Richard Davis - $3.00 2083 – A. C. Morgan – board and bedding for Richard Davis - $8.65 2084 – S.F. Wright – care taking of Richard Davis - $13.88 2085 – Geo E. Parsons – medical care for Richard Davis - $11.00 2086 – John Bither – care of Richard Davis - $11.00 2087 – M.K. Iliff – services for Richard Davis - $5.00 2088 – Northwestern Hospital, Princeton, hospital for Richard Davis - $29.31 2089 – Geo. Fields – cleaning room - $2.25 2090 – W. Demick – work on street - $3.00 2091 – J.E. McBride – overhauling fire engine - $1.00 2092 – W.L. Babcock Sons Co. – clothing for Richard Davis – 1.00 2093 – J.E. Hamlett – moving Richard Davis - $.50 Total - $93.45 On motion by Whitman seconded by Carr the street committee was instructed to fix bridge approach in upper town and put in tiling across the street at the Webb place and Chadbourne well. Motion by Virgin seconded by Pollard for the street lighting committee be instructed to have the streetlamps lighted until further action of the Council. It was decided to engage M.K.
