09-02-1910 VCM VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 2, 1910 The Common Council met at the Bank of Elk River. Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, B. Carr trustees, O.J. Whitman, recorder. Meeting called to order by the President at 8:00 p.m. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Ordinance No. 58 was read and on motion by Pollard and seconded by Virgin was adopted and ordered published in the Sherburne County Star news. See ordinance book. Ordinance No. 59 was read and on motion by Pollard seconded by Carr was adopted and ordered published in the Sherburne County Star news. The matter of transferring the liquor license from Andrew C. Morgan to S.A. Blanchett and Geo H. Blanchett on motion by Pollard and seconded by Virgin was transferred subject to approval of the Bond by S.A. Blanchett and Geo H. Blanchett. On motion the following bills were audited and allowed: 37 – Pollard – 4 8/10 days work on street - $9.60 38 – Standard Oil Co. – gasoline - $5.68 39 – Fritz & Cross – 1-2 form finance book bound in ½ leather division sheets & tables - $12.50 40 – Patterson St Lighting Co. – 10 doz mantles, 4 doz feed pipes - $24.84 41 – M.K. Iliff – services as Marshal for August - $15.00 42 – Harold Keays – lighting lamps for August - $20.00 TOTAL - $87.62 No further business adjourned carried. O.J. Whitman, Village Recorder
