VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 8, 1910
The Common Council met at the Bank of Elk River.
Members present: F.L. Salter, President, J. Virgin, L. Pollard, trustees, O.J. Whitman, recorder.
Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m.
Notices of the vacation of a ? of State Street having been duly posted and return there of made by the
village recorder in due ? and no Objections appearing on motion by Pollard and seconded by Virgin the
following resolution was adopted resolved that a part of State Street described as follows, a triangular
tract consisting of seventeen feet along the last side of Princeton Street and one hundred and thirty feet
along the north side of State Street be and the same is hereby vacated. Said vacation to be conditioned
upon the delivery of a quit claims deed executed by W.H. Houlton to the Village of Elk River of certain
? of ? and adjoining State Street and Princeton Street and described as follows. Twelve feet on west side
of Princeton Street and seventy feet on the north side of State Street.
The following bills were audited, and motion allowed:
90 – M.K. Iliff – services as marshal for September - $15.00
91 – Harold Keays – lighting lamps for September - $20.00
92 – Harold Keays – work on parks, 4 gal gasoline - $6.40
93 – A.N. Dare – publishing liquor license transfer two times - $3.30
94 – Gus Anderson - putting in ? - $3.07
95 – Slaback – putting in ? ? ? post - $3.94
96 - John Hamlet – d????? - $3.00
97 – F.W. Nickerson – resetting stakes for sidewalk - $2.00
98 - ?em Oil & Suply co. – 1 bbl gasoline - $9.95
99- S.C. Morgan – for water rent for park - $5.00
100 – Elk River Limber co. – for Ti? - $21.39
