VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL
NOVEMBER 23, 1912
A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the office of Geo. E. Page on Saturday evening
November 23, 1912.
Present: Geo. E. Page, President, B.F. Plummer, E. P. Babcock Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk.
Visitors, John Blocker, Ben Daniels, John Walley, F.W. Nickerson
The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and carried the clerk was
{illegible} to draw orders for {illegible}.
A.A. Opity – for use of {illegible} grounded for garbage - $10.00
Elk River Lumber Co.- $49.74
W.R. Smith = goods for Mrs. Ka{illegible} - $20.45
Frank T. White – insurance premium - $31.50
J. E. Hachet- gasoline - $21.60
F. W. Nickerson = street work - $5.00
B. F. Plummer – Judge of election – $6.25
Geo. Worden – Judge of election and registration day - $8.25
Charles Kahler – Judge of election - $6.25
A.D. Allen – Clerk of election - $6.25
W.F. Chadbourne – Clerk of election - $6.25
N.D. Trumbull – hall rent, janitor, {illegible} - $6.00
The question of filling dirt back of Ab{illegible} at north end of Elk River bridge was discussed on
motion it was decided to have work done by the day and John Walley was appointed to look after
{illegible} hiring men and teams in Village as far as possible. B.F. Plummer Trustee was
appointment to have charge of {illegible}.
The following resolution was unanimously adopted. Resolved. That the Marshal be authorized and
ordered to dispose of all dogs on streets without muzzles.
W. F. Chadbourne was on motion appointed to look after the case of Mrs. Geo West at having
been reported that she was in need of help no other business.
