VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER REGUALR MEETING CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 1, 1913
A meeting of the Village Council was held at the office of C.F. Fiman on Tuesday, evening April 1,
1913.
Present: Charles F. Fiman, President, F.M. Plank, Ed Keegan and E.E. Scott Trustees, and W.F.
Chadbourne, Clerk.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The Bond of {illegible} a. Calef Village Trea were presented and on motion accepted.
The Bond of W.F. Chadbourne Village Clerk was also presented and on motion accepted.
Mr. Houlton appeared before the Council and asked permission to repair Butcher Shop and also to
move a certain wooden building from the old Starch Factory site to corner Lot(1) Block (2) said
{illegible – illegible} within the fire limits.
In regard to repairing Butcher Shop withing the fire limits the following resolution was adopted by
unanimous consent. Resolved that the council has no objection to the repairing the said Butcher
Shop by Mr. Houlton providing he puts in a concrete floor lines the inside of said room with iron
and cover the roof with {illegible} or Carey roofing.
In regard to the second proposition that of moving a wooden building from outside of the fire limits
{illegible} said fire limits the council holds that this would be in conflict of ordinance No. 53 of
Village of Elk River. Request refused by unanimous consent.
On motion Mr. F{illegible} was instructed to see to the filling of washout at Orono Bridge.
A resolution was passed authorizing the Clerk to draw orders for Monthly payment of City Marshall
and street lighter.
