Special meeting of the village council held on Wednesday the 10 of October 1919.
Members Present – J.H. Virgin, President, Bert Can, Trustee, and Wm Norval, Clerk
Meeting called to order by the President at 8:30 p.m.
This meeting was called for the purpose of assessment on the Real
and Personal property, Village of Elk River for the year 1919, the valuation for 1919 was as follows
as per memo given by the county auditor.
Real estate valuation $180,892.00
Personal property 92,347.00
$273,239.00
Be it resolved by the Council that the sum of 20 mills be assessed on the amt. for corporation base
amounting to and 2 mills for poor fund amt to “2 “ “ roads and bridges

Application from the Elk River building company to construct a sewer from their building on the
corner of Depot and Princeton Sheets said sewer to start from the N.E. corner of the building and
run east across Princeton St corner with the main sewer on said Princeton street. It was moved
seconded and carried that permission be given to the Elk River Building Company to construct said
sewer and that the clerk issue said permit without further notice.
