Approve, byT motion, the hiring of Ali Balabon to the position of Administrative Assistant for the Fire Department
effective February 13, 2023.
Background/Discussion
When our previous administrative assistant resigned, we went to market to fill this position. We received 93
applications and interviewed seven candidates. Follo`ving background and reference checks we recommend Ali
Balabon for the position.
Ms. Balabon has been woYking at Salk Middle School since early 2019, most Yecently as the senior adt�iinistrative
assistant Her work historyr prior to that was at Rogers High School and also as a medical assistant Ms. Balabon
holds both a nursing and a communityT health degree.
Ms. Balabon `vill start at step D of payT grade 6N. All payT and benefits `vill be consistent `vith cityT policyT.
