Nominate and approve, by motion, two members to serve on the Joint Finance Committee.
Background/Discussion
The HRA has one standing committee, a joint-committee with the EDA, with two HRA members serving on the
committee. Current HRA members are Nate Ovall and Jill Larson-Vito, along with two EDA members and five
at-large members. The committee provides the HRA with a technical and politically neutral analysis of applications
including microloan, tax abatement, and tax increment financing applications. They meet on the last Tuesday of
the month as necessary. This action will designate the two HRA members to serve on the committee in 2023.
Per the bylaws, the annual meeting is also a time to discuss whether any other committees should be created to
assist in the work of the board. At this time staff is not recommending any additional committees be created.
