Review and Discuss City Council Goals for
FTCenter in 2023

Background/Discussion
The City Council approved goals for the FTCenter they wanted to see accomplished in 2023 in addition to the
changes made to our budget which was approved by Council in December. Staff has made changes to protocol to
begin addressing accomplishing these goals.
These changes include:
Establishing a monthly meeting with the marketing department to develop a proactive approach to
programs and events at the FTCenter.
Making changes to the CSA schedule to limit part - time staff hours.
Finalizing perimeters for online reservations so customers can rent rooms on their own.
Working with marketing department to send a postcard to residents showcasing room rental at the
FTCenter.
Establishing contracts with approved catering companies to increase revenue from events.
Upgrading membership to Eventective for 12 months to bring increased rental opportunities
Financial Impact
One of the biggest challenges for 2023 is to increase the FTCenters revenue. By making changes to how we
market the facility, as well as how we staff the building, we are working towards reaching that goal.
