ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
APRIL 3, 1967
Elk River Town Board met with all members present. Eldon Roates appeared before the board. A
motion was made by Earl Schulke and seconded by Mel Peterson that the petition by 29 signers to
have the road named Island View Drive. The motion carried. The road is located on the north shore
of Lake Orono. Mr. Roates discussed a numbering system for the Township. He stated that he went
thru this in Coon Rapids. He proposed to have the County Planning group Les Derr, the Township
and any other interested parties to meet at a future date to try Planning a comprehensive numbering
system. Mel Peterson made a motion seconded by Specht that a street naming and numbering
meeting be held motion carried.
