• The revision of our Wellhead Protection Plan has been completed and has been
submitted to MDH. Now that the revised plan is submitted there is a required 60-day
review period. At the end of the review period a public hearing will be held for
comments. The public hearing, which requires a quorum of the Commission, will be held

all requirements have been met, the revised plan can be adopted.
• On January 12 we received a report of a water main leak on County Road 12 east of
Twin Lakes Road. The leak developed from improper hardware used on a fitting that had
deteriorated connecting a twelve -inch water main pipe to a ten -inch pipe. With the help
of a contractor the leak was repaired by replacing the deteriorated hardware. The water
main needed to be shutdown, disrupting water service in the area for about four hours
while the repair work was performed.
• The water operators have continued to work on the annual preventative maintenance
of our water treatment plants.
