DISCUSSION:
• The bill insert for January 2023 provides customers with information about SmartHub,
our secure account management and payment tool that can be accessed through our
website or on the SmartHub app. The QR code on the flyer brings customers to their
phone's app store if they would like to download the app. We are also offering
customers who register for auto payment a $5 credit on their bill.
• Social media posts for the month cover topics such as the SmartHub and Recycling
Coach apps. Announcements included holiday closures and the commission meeting.
• The featured social media post this month introduces customers to Curt A., our new
Inventory & Procurement Assistant. It is a well known fact in the communications
department that the community really appreciates seeing the names and faces of the
people that help provide their services and this is another great chance to do that.
• On December 14, the executive administrative manager participated in a meeting of the
Records Retention Task Force. The group's mission is to formulate and recommend a
standardized retention schedule for use by all cities in the State of Minnesota. Being
part of this task force deepens an understanding of effective records management.
• We hosted a trainer from the State of Minnesota to cover the topic of workplace
violence. The feedback from staff was positive and the trainer gave us much to consider
as far as our processes and procedures for keeping people safe.
• The executive administrative manager has been in contact with vendors who may be
able to assist with the dashboard initiative aimed at bringing display options to our
lobby. These will promote ERMU's programs, history, and achievements.
