ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
MARCH 11, 1969
The polls were declared open at 10 o’clock as voted in the last Township election. The following
residents voted.

The results of the vote were as follows
Supervisor 3 years Everett Specht 31 votes
Treas 2 years D.R. Moldenhauer 30 votes
The business meeting was called to order by the chairman. Gordon Fredericksen was appointed as
moderator for the meeting.
The first order of business was a report by the treasurer D.R. Moldenhauer. The fund was some
13000 better than a year ago. For detail see treasurers report. A motion was made by Earl Schulke
second by E.G. Palmer that the treasurers report be accepted as read. Motion carried. The amount
to be raised for the various funds be set as follows Road & Bridge $15,000 Revenue Fund $6,000
A motion was made by Mrs. Pederson second by Ernest Palmer that the Town Board work on fire
call numbers for the township. Motion carried. Moved that 6,000 be raised for Revenue Fund.
Motion carried. It was moved that $3,000 be raised for Poor Fund motion carried. Discussion came
up about space for future dumping land. The county had 20 acres and the State 20 acres next to the
village dump. It was discussed having it zoned as dump area. A motion was made by Earl Schulke
that certain areas be zoned as park or recreation areas seconded by Irv Moldenhauer. Motion
carried. Meeting hours are to be the same 10’ to 9 business meeting at 8 PM. A motion was made to
adjourn. Motion carried.
