ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
SEPTEMBER 14, 1970
The Town Board met with all but Mel Peterson present. The meeting was called to order by the
Chairman EL Specht. Pat Donahue, Jack Frehamm, and Robert Dilly appeared to protest the
locating of a culvert under the highway to drain water from Moldenhauer Addition into Lake
Orono. Pollution was their main concern. Earl Schulke moved and E.L. Specht seconded a motion
that the plat of DR Moldenhauer streets be constructed so all water run off on adjacent property.
Not to be drained off thru a culvert under old highway #10. Motion carried. A group from Camp
Cozy appeared. They wanted to what was being done on road to Camp Cozy where Bartz son in law
had dire piled on road. They were told that both Big Lake and Elk River Townships were in the
process of getting this a joint town road. John Oliver presented two more plats. One was Lloyd

Anderson’s Riverview Heights 2 Addition. The other was Ridgewood 3 Addition by Neal Larson.

A motion was made by Earl Schulke seconded by DR Moldenhauer that Riverview Heights 2
Addition be accepted. Motion caried. A motion was made by DR Moldenhauer seconded by Earl

Schulke that the Ridgewood 3 Addition be accepted. Motion was carried. The following bills were
