ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 2, 1970
The Town Board met with all but Mel Peterson present. Dave Goddard and Fred Brenteson
discusses the problem of tarring etc road into the Goddard Plat. Earl Schulke moved and EV
Rathbun seconded that the Town Board accepted the road into Dave Goddard Plat. Dave Goddard
is to apply 1 ½ of gravel also. 1 ½ inches tar when requiring by Town Board. Motion carried. A
group from West of Town appeared. They wanted to know if the road in their area is a 66’ ft road
they were appeared it was Eldon Bard offered to give dirt for road if the road is straightened. A
motion was made that the Town Board grade the road from County 35 to section corner past Eldon
Beard. The road to be put back on line by Eldon Bards where it belongs. Motion seconded by DR
Moldenhauer. Motion carried. This to be done during 1971. The Town Board agrees to blacktop
said road and Garry Santwire is to put up a performance bond to tar his road at the same time. This
to be done during 1972. A motion was made to accept the road in Oak Hills Addition seconded and
carried this is in EL Specht Addition. A motion was made by EL Specht seconded by E Rathbun
that the road in Lloyd Anderson Plat be accepted. Motion carried. Bills were paid.
