ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
OCTOBER 4, 1971
The Board was called to order by the chairman E Schulke.
A group of residents in the area west of Elk in the district covered by the ordinance #1. After much
discussion it was decided to look into the legality of ordinance #1 also amending ordinance to allow
land owners to shoot on their own land. Mrs. Faye Perkins asked about war widows pensions. It was
recommended she write to Herbert Humphrey.
A motion was made and seconded that Big Lake Gravel Co be paid as billed. Motion carried.
Gary Santwire stated he has a problem as the Township will not accept roads till paved and he has
building stopped because the road is not accepted as a Town Road and not recorded.
