ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
MAY 30, 1972
Elk River Town Board met in Board of Equalization. Donald Beddich was first to appear he had not
signed for Green Acres he was asked to know sign to lower his assessment. Marion Moon was next
to appear. He also had not signed Green Acres Program which he did. John Pearce next met with
the Board as his assessment went from 9 thousand plus to 14 thousand plus. He added a shop which
is part of the increase also Green Acres will help his case. Richard Bigelow asked what his valuation
increase was on. He was told that it was on his home. Erwin Classen had about a seven thousand.
Weldon Schultz had a valuation raise from 29M plus to 40M plus. He had a second house which
made the increase. Henry Dutzman was next to appear. He lives in Ridgewood Addition. He
thought appliances were personal property but these were built in’s so included in R.E. Value. M.F.
Lawatrck next appeared he said he added a bedroom and bath. His valuation rose from 4,000 to
10,700. He spent about the difference on the addition. As no more appeared the meeting adjourned.
