ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
JUNE 12, 1972
A special meeting was called to order by Franklin Madsen. The purpose was to choose names for
the north and south streets. The avenues are numbered. The east two tiers of Sec. east of Village will
be famous people. Those north of the village will be a continuation of the village names. The two
tiers of sections west of the village will be named for cities. The names are listed below those present
at the meeting were chairman F Madsen, E Schulke, E Specht and E Rathbun. All State and County
roads or Highways will continue to as presently numbered or named.
