ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 20, 1972
A special meeting of the Elk River Town Board was called to order by the chairman Franklin
Madsen.
Mr. and Mrs. Eno Schmidt appeared before the Town Board with a earnest money contract between
the Town Board and themselves on a tract of about 5.6 acres. The Schmidts are to pay any taxes due
in 1972 and the 1973 taxes will be pro-rated. With this contract the town is to pay $1000.00 at
present with the balance of 6000.00 to be paid after January first 1973. A motion was made on
approval of the earnest money contract the Schmidts be paid $1000.00. The motion carried.
Neil Larson and John Oliver was in with a preliminary plat of Knollwood which is land formerly
owned by Bill Kreger. A motion was made by E Specht that the preliminary plat of Knollwood be
approved. The streets are to be built without ditches and a 30 ft top. The motion was seconded by
Earl Schulke. Motion carried.
Mr. and Mrs. Gillstrup appeared before the board. A motion was made by Earl Schulke seconded by
E. Specht that the Gillstrup Addition plat be accepted. The motion carried.
A motion was made Earl Schulke and seconded by E Specht that a beer license be approved for
Ronald Ebner. The motion carried. A motion was made by Earl Schulke and seconded by E Specht
that John Oliver be authorized to Surry Road from County Road east to a point north of Little Twin
Lake. Motion carried.
