ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
MAY 7, 1973
The meeting was called to order by the chairman EL Specht. All members were present. The
consulting engineer was present and discussed upcoming road work. A motion was made by F.
Madsen seconded by E. Schulke that the bids be opened. Motion carried. Bids from Fred Benteson
was $3,397.50 bid from Laurence Kreger was in the amount of $2500.00 a motion was made to
accept Kreger bid of $2750.00 seconded and carried. Laurence Kreger estimated that the Camp
st
Cozy road will be done by August 1. John Oliver and Jeff Rootes appeared. Frank Madsen moved
that all developer furnish a reproducible copy of plat with house numbers furnished by Sherburne
County surveyor. Any fees for house number assigning to be borne by developer. Motion seconded
by Earl Schulke. Motion carried. Frank moved seconds by Irvin that Old plats be photographed to
get a reproducible copy. Motion carried. Irvin Moldenhauer moved, seconded by Earl Schulke that
beer licenses for Riverview sports and Elk River ball park be approved. So carried. Frank Madsen
moved that the acceptance of plats be contingent on developer. Motion not carried thru.
Frank Madsen moved that street sign be a condition of acceptance of road or street within any plat.
These signs to be as specified by Town Board. Seconded by Earl Schulke. Carried. A motion was

made to rescind the motion made on June 5 that no culverts will be furnished for new driveways
connecting to town roads. Motion by Earl seconded by EL Specht and carried 2 to 1. Frank
dissenting. So carried. No further business so a motion was made to adjourn.
