Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging contribution by The Bank of Elk River. 2. Approve, by motion, adoption of the contract with The Bank of Elk River. Background/Discussion The Bank of Elk River has long contributed funds to support the Riverfront Concert Series operated by the Elk River Parks and Recreation Department. Staff would like the City Council to acknowledge and recognize The Bank of Elk River for their generous contribution towards the 2023 Riverfront Concert Series by a formal resolution. Attached is an agreement for a one-year contract between the city and The Bank of Elk River to sponsor the Riverfront Concert series for 2023. Financial Impact The financial contribution is in the amount of $20,000 for the 2023 season. Updated: January 2023 City of Elk River City Council Resolution 23-____ A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elk River Acknowledging Contributions WHEREAS, the City of Elk River is grateful to all civic groups, organizations, and individuals for their contributions to the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Elk River received a $20,000 donation from The Bank of Elk River with the intent it be used by Parks and Recreation for Riverfront Concert Series 2023. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, by at least four-fifths vote, to acknowledge the support and commend The Bank of Elk River for their donation. The term of the contract shall be for one-year 2023 concert season. The Bank of Elk River shall contribute $20,000 to secure the exclusive sponsorship rights of the 2023 Riverfront Concert Series. Sponsorship benefits will include: 1. Sole corporate sponsor of the Riverfront Concert Series. 2. The development of a marketing plan focusing on The Bank of Elk River sponsorship. The plan will be developed in conjunction with The Bank of Elk River staff to ensure all groups are informed and in agreement of marketing methods being utilized.
