ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
JULY 2, 1973
Frank Madsen was chairman in place of EL Specht who was absent. A motion was made that Fred
Brentesen take care of the road to the former Palmer farm and the one to Eleb Larson. The motion
was seconded and carried. Ned Lungren appeared with a plat north of Highway and East of Lake
Orono. A motion was made by Earl Schulke seconded by F. Madsen that the concept plan for the
preliminary plat be accepted. The motion carried.
Jim Hummel appeared in regard to the mess that Laurence Kreger made of his land in the making of
the Town Road. Earl and Frank made inspections in regard to the above and found it as stated. It
was decided that the land needed to get drier before anything can be done.
A motion was made by Frank seconded by Earl that Kreger be instructed to level the land and seed
to Brome and rye seed. The motion carried.
Harry Lakoduk next met presented his plat of Grandview second addition. His plat could not be
signed as the chairman was out of town. A motion was made by Earl seconded by Frank that HV

Johnston bid for culverts be accepted. Motion carried. Put in Star News 2 week for bids on
Hervuth road. No other business the following bills were ordered paid and a motion to adjourn was
made.
