ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
JULY 16, 1973
The town board met with Fred Brenteson of Big Lake, Gordy Olson of Elk River Blacktop and Bill
Mills from H&S Blacktop at the Anny Meyers Road. The purpose was to acquaint the bidders with
what is to be done on two roads for black topping. The Anna Meyer Road is to have a 24 foot
blacktop from the County road all the way to the end. A burn or curb to be built on both side from
rd
the south side of Eldon Beard drive way to a point between 2 and 3 poles south of Bearn garden
area. These burns are to be 5 inches high. The road in front of Ralph Goodell home south is to be
cut down to blend with road going west for drainage purposes. Next the board and contractors
looked over the road going south from Old Camp Cozy on Highway 10. This road is also a 24 ft top
st
of blacktop with no curbs. The completion date for the surfacing will be on or before Sept 1 1973.
