ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
AUGUST 1, 1973
A special meeting was called by the Chairman EL Specht. The purpose was to go over the plans for
the road improvement by Peter Horvath farm. There was some questions about the amount of yards
of fill in some of the areas also there was a question about the scale being 20 to 1 and also 10 to 1.
Harvey Rechner also had a question about the road ending in Elk River and the start in Livonia
Township. The Township engineering firm explained the road plans to the County engineer and
contractor plus the town board. There was a motion and a seconded that the contract will be for
14600 plus 870 yards on the north end to blend in with the road into Livonia Township. Motion so
carried.
