ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
APRIL 12, 1974
A special meeting of the Elk River Town Board was held at 8:30 PM.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the replacement of a supervisor to replace Earl Schulke.
Three names were discussed. Frank Madsen asked Everett Rathbun if he had ever considered
changing from Clerk to the supervisor position. The answer being yes, the supervisors voted to
accept Everett Rathbun as the third supervisor for one year to replace Earl Schulke for the
remainder of his term. This left an opening to someone to replace Everett Rathbun as Clerk.
Wallace Fox name was suggested to fill the clerk job as he showed interest in a town office by filing
in the annual town meeting for supervisor. Frank Madsen said he would contact Mr. Fox to see if he
would fill the clerk position.
