OCTOBER 28, 1974
Special meeting with City
Meeting was held with City to discuss consolation of city and township. Many points were debated.
Ward voting, census, bonds, taxing districts, type of government etc. It was thought best that a small
committee, three for city, three from town be appointed by each governing body at next regular
th
meeting. This committee to meeting Nov 25 at 7:30 to start drawing up report. It was agreed that a
tentative date for completion of consolidation should be March of ’75.
