Opening of bids for storm sewer project only one bid received that being from A.H. Johnson Co.
Total bid 6977.00
Bid submitted on per ft basis $9.50 per ft and figured on 700 feet. Lowering of culvert across
Meadowvale 327.00 Total may vary because of per ft basic project to commence as soon as possible.

Storm sewer to run from Meadowvale south on Albany to 189 St then west to Boston and connect
with present storm sewer.

Being in possession of a duly signed petition from Twp residents the Twp Clerk called to order a
special Twp meeting.
Nominations were opened for Chairman. Frank Madsen being the only person nominated he was
appointed Chairman. Project explained by engineer as follows:
Culvert under Meadowvale Road to be lowered to reduce ponding effect.

Storm sewer line to be layed from culvert south on Albany to 189 then west to Boston and
connected to present storm sewer. Due unavailability of 10 in perforated pipe 8 in would be used
and cost difference to be reflected.
Motion by Mary Gappa to give Twp Board approval on project. Seconded by Jim Goble – carried.
There was suggestion that gates might possibly be installed under Meadowvale and the railroad
tracks to the north to help cut down on water flow. No action taken. Meeting adjourned at 8:40

Special Meeting
A special meeting was conducted to determine payment of storm sewer project in Westwood. Bid
was 6977.00 on per foot basis could run higher.
Motion by E Specht to asses each of the 10 benefited lots $500.00 and Twp to pay balance of
project. Assessment period to run for 10 yrs. With option to prepay in full. Second by E Rathbun.
Carried.
Full payment must be made 30 days after certification of project approx.. Feb 2, 76.
Motion by E Rathbun seconded by E Specht to award contract to A.H. Johnson. Carried.
Motion by E Specht seconded by E Rathbun to waive waiting period on performance bond and
insurance certification. This motion was on the recommendation for engineer due to weather
conditions. Carried.
Representatives of A.H. Johnson Co assured board that they carried ample insurance. Meeting
adjourned 8:55
