Action Requested
Approve, byT motion, the fire department retaining their current 2013 ChevyT Tahoe to be used as a spare duty
officer apparatus.
Background/Discussion
Vehicle #407 is a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe with appro�matelyr 91,000 miles.
The fire department would like to keep this vehicle in the fleet to allow the fire department's shadow Duty Officer
Program to operate `vithout having to use frontline apparatus, causing increased maintenance on those vehicles.
AdditionallyT, this vehicle will allow for a spare dutyT officer rig if another is out of service due to maintenance. This
will add one spare vehicle to the department's fleet, and any dutyT officer vehicle that is replaced in the future
would then cyTcle down to replace the spare SUV.
The fleet committee chair has approved this addition.
Financial Impact
