Athletic Facilities Master Plan Committee

Approve, by motion, three Parks and Recreation Commission members to serve on the Athletic Facilities Master
Plan Committee.
Background/Discussion
The Parks and Recreation Commission unanimously recommended the approval of the Athletic Fields Analysis at
the March meeting. HKGi has prepared a proposal to assist the City of Elk River with the process of updating three
community scale park Master Plans to incorporate the recent findings and recommendations from the
Athletic Fields Analysis.
Staff recommended an Athletic Facilities Master Plan Committee of no more than three Commission members will
regularly meet with staff and HKGi during 2023. The plan is to have the draft complete by late fall of 2023.
Financial Impact
The Park Improvement Fund includes $45,000 for professional services to complete the Master Plan updates for
YAC, OKAC and DAAC.
