Background/Discussion
There are no further updates to the upper lobby displays (Pros/Olympians and Wall of Fame), however we
wanted to pass along photos of the recently installed hockey history display located in the Cornerstone
Automotive Arena (att1)
When the branding subcommittee met 1.5 years ago, they laid preliminary groundwork for displays and branding
associated with the Senior Activity Center. Included are photos of the space itself as well as options for
display/trophy cases.
In addition to feedback on the displays yet to be installed, staff would like direction from the Commission on how
to handle the repair/replacement of branding elements. We are seeing wear and tear on the vinyl graphics and a
plan will need to be formulated to address these issues in the future.
Financial Impact
Minimal to FT Center Budget -The Wall of Fame/Pro and Olympian branding will be financed by hockey
community, and the displays for the Senior Activity Center will come from the general fund.
Mission/Policy/Goal
Acknowledging the history of ice sports in the facility as well as the members of the public who contributed to Elk
River’s story aligns with our mission to respect our past.
