SUBJECT: Great River Energy Corporate Headquarters Project Update
Great River Energy (GRE) has requested this issue not be for public discussion this evening
since they are making formal announcement by way of the newspaper this Wednesday.
It is appropriate to notify the Council that staff was contacted by GRE today with regard to
last week's subcommittee and Board of Directors meeting in which a site was selected for
the corporate headquarters. Staff was notified that based on the Board criteria for the
project the Elk River Gateway Business Park site was not selected. GRE officials thanked
the City for its interest and for providing a site proposal. A site in downtown Maple Grove
was selected for the project.
